Gem State Staffing in Boise is currently recruiting and accepting applications for experienced MIG welders to work for a manufacturing company in Boise.

Job Description:

Candidates will be responsible for welding MIG 4 chassis. Successful candidates will have plenty of room for advancement if they have an adaptable attitude and are willing to learn new skills. Candidates will be working Monday thru Friday 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Candidates can expect to work a minimum of 40 hours a week with a possibility of overtime. Compensation for this position is $20.00-$25.00 per hour depending on experience.

Essential Job Functions:

• Perform welds on carbon and stainless steel, according to company and quality standards
• Examine materials and finish product for defects. If defects are found, welder must be able to fix the mistake, to comply with company standards and order specifications.
• Perform welds, cuts, and shear parts according to work orders, blue prints and oral instructions.

Requirements:

Qualified applicants will need to possess the following skills and background requirements:

• MIG welding experience is a must-CERTS ARE NOT REQUIRED BUT MUST HAVE PROVEN EXPERIENCE AND CAN PASS A WELD TEST
• Consistently bend, stoop, and twist
• Lift 50+ pounds consistently, unassisted
• Familiarity with basic hand tools
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
• Must have a team oriented attitude
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and potentially holidays
