Job Overview
Gem State Staffing-Caldwell is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Dock Worker for a local plastics manufacturing client. This role is critical to the logistics team, ensuring the accurate movement of products and materials. This is a temporary position with the opportunity to transition into a long-term, full-time role for the right candidate, at which point you will be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities
• Shipment Management: Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
• Loading & Staging: Load and secure outgoing shipments; prepare products by labeling, wrapping, and staging.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
• Documentation: Verify packing lists, bills of lading, and shipping documents to ensure accuracy.
• Inventory Control: Accurately record received items and maintain an organized warehouse environment.
• Collaboration: Work closely with production and purchasing teams to ensure a smooth workflow.

Requirements
• Physical Ability: Must be able to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical tasks, including overhead work and standing for extended periods.
• Skills: Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and strong attention to detail.
• Certification: Forklift certification is preferred, or a willingness to obtain one.
• Environment: Ability to work in a hot, humid environment around loud noises.
• Screening: Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

Job Details
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• Pay: $19.00/hour, paid weekly every Friday for the previous week’s hours.
