Job Overview
Gem State Staffing-Caldwell is seeking a reliable Powder Operator for a local plastics manufacturing client. This role is essential for the preparation and management of raw materials within the production team. This is a temporary position with the opportunity to transition into a long-term, full-time role for the right candidate, at which point you will be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities
• Material Preparation: Measure, blend, and load plastic resin materials for production.
• Equipment Operation: Operate mixers, grinders, dryers, and other material handling equipment.
• Inventory Tracking: Maintain accurate material tracking and inventory records.
• Quality Control: Inspect materials for quality and consistency.
• Operational Support: Support production teams to keep operations running efficiently.
• Workplace Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Requirements
• Experience: Manufacturing or production experience is preferred.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Environment: Able to work in a hot, humid environment for extended periods around loud noises.
• Technical Skills: Strong attention to detail and solid communication skills.
• Work Ethic: A team-oriented attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Screening: Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

Job Details
• Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
• Pay: $17.00/hour, paid weekly every Friday for the previous week’s hours.
