Gem State Staffing is hiring a reliable and detail-oriented Plate Room Technician for a full-time manufacturing position supporting flexographic printing and press operations.

By preparing printing plates and sleeves, staging jobs, maintaining plate room equipment, and ensuring materials are ready for production.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, organized, accurate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.

JOB DUTIES:

• Prepare, mount, inspect, and clean printing plates and sleeves.
• Locate plates and job packets and verify job, part, and item numbers.
• Apply sticky back and mount plates to specifications.
• Stage jobs for the printing press and de-mount returning plates.
• Operate and maintain the plate washer.
• Clean sleeves and anilox rolls as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Assist with plate room and press operations.
• Participate in 6S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement activities.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to stand for extended periods and bend, kneel, stretch, climb stairs,and reach overhead
• Ability to read and use a measuring tape
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organization, problem-solving, and time-management skills
