Gem State Staffing in Nampa is immediately hiring MIG Welders for a local Metal Fabrication shop. We are looking for reliable and skilled individuals with MIG welding experience who are seeking long-term, full-time employment.
Job Responsibilities:
Candidates will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Performing MIG welding on various metal components according to shop drawings and specifications
- Preparing materials by cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal surfaces prior to welding
- Setting up welding equipment and ensuring proper machine settings for each job
- Inspecting welds for quality and structural soundness; fixing minor defects as needed
- Reading and interpreting basic blueprints, measurements, and work orders
- Operating fabrication tools such as grinders, saws, drill presses, and other shop equipment
- Following all safety procedures and wearing proper PPE
- Communicating with the shop supervisor and fabrication team for workflow and project updates
Schedule & Compensation:
Day Shift: Monday – Friday, typical start time between 5:00am–7:00am
Wage: $22.00/hr
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year MIG welding experience in a fabrication or production setting
- Prior experience with metalwork tools such as grinders, band saws, drill presses, etc.
- Ability to read a measuring tape and follow instructions with strong attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Stable work history
- Pre-employment drug screen & criminal background check
- Desire for full-time, long-term work
