Gem State Staffing is partnering with a leading plastic agricultural baling twine manufacturer in Jerome, Idaho, to hire a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with manufacturing or production experience who take pride in accuracy, consistency, and high-quality work.
As a Quality Control (QC) Inspector, you’ll play a key role in maintaining product quality and compliance within our plastic extrusion and manufacturing operations. You will conduct inspections, perform measurements, identify product defects, and collaborate with production teams to uphold company and industry quality standards. This position is ideal for candidates with experience in quality assurance, production inspection, or machine operation who want to grow within a stable manufacturing environment.
Perform routine and non-routine quality inspections during all stages of production.
Conduct tests, measurements, and visual inspections using specialized tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
Identify and document product defects, inconsistencies, and deviations from specifications.
Report inspection results and findings to the Quality Assurance (QA) Manager and production leads.
Support root-cause analysis and troubleshooting to resolve quality issues.
Assist in preparing inspection reports, quality data logs, and trend analysis.
Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to maintain quality standards and improve processes.
Ensure all procedures comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace according to company safety standards.
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of manufacturing or production experience, preferably in a quality assurance or inspection role.
Basic understanding of math and measurement principles.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Ability to read, interpret, and follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
Basic knowledge of machine operation and automation troubleshooting.
Strong attention to detail and ability to differentiate good vs. bad parts using product specifications.
Consistent ability to check work for accuracy and report any discrepancies.
Team-oriented with strong communication skills and a dependable work ethic.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move around the production floor for extended periods.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, industrial environment with attention to safety and precision.
