Position: Welder & Chassis Assembler Type: Temp-To-Hire Location: Caldwell, ID

Job Overview

Gem State Staffing-Caldwell is seeking full-time Welder & Chassis Assemblers for one of our favorite clients in Caldwell, ID. This role offers a consistent weekday schedule and the opportunity to work in a year-round, indoor construction environment where weather is never a factor. New hires are paired with a company mentor to support on-the-job training and professional growth within a strong safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production Welding: Perform production welding and chassis assembly tasks.
  • Technical Execution: Weld .035 hard wire in various positions and operate oxy-acetylene torches, plasma cutters, and hand grinders.
  • Blueprint Reading: Proficiently read blueprints and sketches for specific task specifications.
  • Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a safe workspace while wearing heat-resistant gloves and protective masks.

Requirements

  • Experience: 2–5 years of production welding experience (must be listed on your application).
  • Technical Skills: Ability to accurately read a tape measure to ensure correct marks and cuts.
  • Physical Ability: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stand for 10-hour shifts, and bend, crawl, or climb as needed.
  • Compliance: Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (regular overtime and some Saturdays may be required).
  • Pay: $21.00–$23.00/hour (DOE).
  • Payroll: Paid weekly every Friday.
