Lab Analyst- Food Production

Job Description

Gem State Staffing is now accepting applications for a Day Shift Lab Technician position at for a full-time, permanent position in Twin Falls. This role is ideal for individuals with strong attention to detail, basic lab experience, and an interest in food safety, quality control, and laboratory analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine laboratory testing and analysis on food production samples.

  • Accurately record, document, and report test results.

  • Follow established food safety, quality control, and laboratory procedures.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of lab equipment and work areas.

  • Assist with sample preparation, labeling, and storage.

  • Identify and report any quality or safety concerns.

  • Comply with all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and safety guidelines.

  • Work collaboratively with production and quality teams.

  • Will analyzes whey products including testing for moisture content, pH, bacteria, protein, and other properties as assigned.

  • Prepares media for bacteria analysis, clean laboratory equipment and instruments and measure instruments and interpret results.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Must be willing to work in a factory setting
  • Must have the ability to walk inside and outside factory to collect data reports and product samples
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., unassisted
  • Must adhere to strict Good Manufacturing Practices of client
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Previous laboratory, quality control, or food production experience preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, quality assurance, or lab procedures is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written protocols
  • Basic math, documentation, and data entry skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a production environment
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work the full scheduled shift

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:30pm
