Outside Maintenance Technician (with Office Support Duties)

Job Summary

Gem State Staffing in Boise is now hiring for an Outside Maintenance Technician who will also assist with basic office duties. This is a hands-on role focused on property upkeep, maintenance, and occasional front office responsibilities. We're looking for a dependable, self-motivated individual who can work independently and manage a variety of maintenance and light administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

Outdoor Maintenance Tasks:

• Perform security checks and general property inspections
• Paint and repair doors, locks, lights, and minor roofing
• Pick up trash and maintain clean grounds
• Mow, weed, and maintain gravel roads
• Clean and stock public restrooms
• Operate equipment to grade roads and maintain parking areas
• Conduct light electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work
• Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment in safe working order

Office Support Duties:

• Open the office Monday through Friday
• Accept and post payments (cash/credit card)
• Use office computer, printer, and phone
• Answer basic customer inquiries
• Provide office coverage when staff is unavailable

Requirements

• 6+ months of maintenance or construction-related experience
• Familiarity with electrical and hand tools
• Comfortable working at heights and in various outdoor conditions
• Able to follow safety procedures at all times
• General knowledge of construction, plumbing, electrical, and heavy equipment
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Customer service experience is a plus but not required
