Gem State Staffing is hiring a Housing Specialist for a local company that assists individuals and families who have been displaced due to fire and water damage. What You'll Do

As a Housing Specialist, you will work directly with clients, landlords, community partners, and service providers to secure temporary and long-term housing solutions. You'll play a vital role in helping families rebuild their lives while managing a fast-paced caseload.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client assessments to determine housing needs and program eligibility.
• Assist clients with housing applications, lease agreements, and required documentation.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with landlords, property managers, and community agencies.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential client records.
• Monitor client progress and provide ongoing case management support.
• Advocate for clients and help remove barriers to obtaining stable housing.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, funding requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining exceptional customer service.
• Demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and strong attention to detail in every client interaction.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in housing services, case management, social services, or a related field preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer systems.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license may be required.
