Gem State Staffing–Nampa is now accepting applications for experienced Kitchen Staff and Shelter support staff to work locally in the Treasure Valley with a well-known non-profit organization. This is a part-time, temporary assignment (approximately 3 months) for reliable and motivated individuals. Candidates must be available to work the graveyard shift.

Job Description:

Qualified candidates will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Preparing and serving meals while following proper food safety and storage procedures
• Cleaning and sanitizing work areas and washing dishes
• Preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner for residents signed up for meal services
• Participating in weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual deep cleaning as needed
• Attending required staff meetings and trainings
• Reporting safety concerns to the Lead Program Assistant or Director of Operations via reporting software
• Performing additional duties as assigned by supervisor

Schedule & Pay:

• Approximately 24-32 hours per week
• Day Shift, Mid Shift, and Graveyard shifts available
• $18.00 per hour

Requirements:

• Ability to remain on feet for the duration of the shift
• Ability to consistently bend, stoop, and twist
• Ability to lift 30+ pounds unassisted
• Must be able to pass a federal background check
• Must have a valid Idaho driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Must have flexibility to work weekends and possible holidays
