Job Overview

Gem State Staffing-Caldwell is seeking a reliable Handyman for a local client. This is a temporary role with the opportunity to transition into a long-term, full-time position for the ideal candidates. At which point you are eligible for the organization’s benefits package. The Handyman will be responsible for a variety of basic home repair tasks and must be able to communicate effectively with a diverse range of customers. If you have a broad set of basic maintenance skills and a strong work ethic, we want to meet you.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of general home repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and team members in both English and Spanish.
• Utilize common hand and power tools to complete work orders efficiently.
• Respond as needed to fulfill service requests.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace at all times.

Requirements

• Bilingual Proficiency: Must be fluent in both English and Spanish.
• General Repair Knowledge: General knowledge of basic home repairs and maintenance.
• Availability: Must be available for a full-time schedule, including potential weekends based on organizational needs.
• Screening: Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Customer Service: Interpersonal skills to provide high-quality service to tenants.

Job Details

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (occasional weekends may be required).
• Pay: $18.00/hour, paid weekly every Friday for the previous week’s hours.
