Job Description

Gem State Staffing is hiring an Experience Service Technician to service windows and doors at customer homes and businesses. In this role, you will diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and replace window and door components while delivering outstanding customer service. This position is ideal for candidates with experience in window repair, door repair, glass replacement, construction, or field service who enjoy hands-on work and working directly with customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot windows and doors

  • Repair or replace glass, sashes, screens, blinds, shades, muntins, locks, handles, and hardware

  • Perform precision repair work using hand and power tools

  • Complete service jobs correctly the first time and perform follow-up service when needed

  • Conduct quality control checks on completed work and replacement parts

  • Generate and update service documentation after each job

  • Identify issues early, order parts, and assist with technical support

  • Safely handle glass ranging from 12” x 12” up to 12’ x 12’ (team lifts when required)

  • Maintain assigned company service vehicle

  • Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and supervisors

  • Follow all company safety policies and PPE requirements

Job Requirements

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Valid driver’s license (must meet Fleet Safety requirements)

  • Dependable work history

  • Experience using power tools (drills, saws, nail guns, etc.)

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and perform physical labor

Preferred:

  • Window or door installation/repair experience

  • General construction or skilled trades background

  • Experience working with glass and precision components

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong problem-solving and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Professional appearance and positive attitude

  • Basic computer skills; willingness to learn proprietary systems

Work Environment:

  • Residential and commercial job sites

  • Company warehouse and service vehicle

  • Indoor/outdoor work with seasonal temperature changes

  • Moderate to loud noise levels
