Gem State Staffing in Pocatello are hiring for general laborers. Are you someone who likes staying busy, working with your hands, and jumping into different types of jobs? Gem State Staffing is looking for dependable General Laborers to assist with a variety of warehouse, industrial, construction, and outdoor labor projects throughout the Pocatello area.
This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy variety and don't mind working on different assignments. Assignments can range from a few days to several weeks at a time, depending on project needs.
We are looking for people who are reliable, hardworking, able to take direction, and ready to jump in wherever needed!
Types of Work May Include:
Warehouse & Industrial Labor:
· Organizing and stocking inventory
· Loading and unloading semi-trucks
· Palletizing products and materials
· Using pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment
· Moving, sorting, and staging materials
· Maintaining a clean and organized work area
· Assisting production and warehouse teams
Construction & Outdoor Labor:
· General construction cleanup
· Assisting crews on job sites
· Cleaning brick, rock, and construction materials
· Moving materials and supplies
· Landscaping assistance, including:
· Laying rock
· Planting flowers
· General property cleanup
· Site preparation
· Assisting with masonry and outdoor improvement projects
· Working around scaffolding and elevated work areas
Qualifications:
· Ability to perform physical labor including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials
· Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various conditions
· Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and perform repetitive tasks
· Must be comfortable working on or around scaffolding when required
· Ability to follow directions and work safely as part of a team
· Reliable transportation to and from job sites
· Dependable attendance and punctuality are required
Preferred Experience:
· Previous warehouse, construction, landscaping, manufacturing, or industrial labor experience is helpful but not required
· Forklift experience is a plus
· Experience using pallet jacks, hand tools, or moving equipment is preferred
Schedule:
· Schedules will vary based on customer needs. Assignments may include:
· Short-term projects lasting 2–3 days
· Longer assignments lasting 2–3 weeks or more
· Day labor opportunities with varying start times and schedules
