Gem State Staffing is looking for hardworking and dependable General Laborers to assist with a variety of tasks in a hands-on work environment. Duties may include cleaning, loading/unloading materials, operating basic equipment or tools, and supporting skilled workers as needed. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to safety, reliability, and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform manual labor tasks such as lifting, moving, and loading materials
  • Clean and prepare work areas by removing debris, tools, or hazardous materials
  • Assist with the setup and teardown of job sites or equipment
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, or basic machinery under supervision
  • Follow instructions from supervisors and team leads
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Support skilled workers (e.g., carpenters, machine operators, or warehouse staff) as needed
  • Adhere to all company safety procedures and policies

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required)
  • Previous experience in general labor, construction, or warehouse work is a plus
  • Ability to lift up to [50-75] lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods
  • Willingness to work outdoors or in various weather conditions (if applicable)
  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and ability to follow directions
  • Reliable transportation to job site (if required)

Work Environment:

  • May include indoor/outdoor settings, loud noise, and exposure to dust or weather
  • Use of safety gear (e.g., gloves, hard hats, safety glasses, steel-toe boots) may be required
  • Fast-paced and physically demanding environment
