Job Description

Gem State Staffing is hiring a full-time Packaging Operator to join a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment. The Packaging Operator assists with packaging and proper storage of bagged and tote products, maintains accurate documentation, and ensures quality, safety, and performance standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Package and store products according to company procedures.
  • Operate and monitor packaging equipment and metal detectors.
  • Maintain accurate log sheets, charts, and inventory records.
  • Transfer finished products to warehouse storage.
  • Inspect packaging for defects and ensure quality standards.
  • Follow all OSHA safety guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
  • Packaging or warehouse experience preferred; forklift experience a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs regularly (60 lbs occasionally).
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and teamwork skills.
  • Able to pass pre-employment screening and background checks
  • Ability to repetitively stand, bend, twist, crouch, and stoop for extended periods
  • Comfortable with repetitive physical tasks
  • Punctual, dependable, and a team player
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from job site.
