Location: Caldwell, ID

Employment Type: Project-Based (0-49 hours per week)

Shifts Available:

  • Day Shift: 6:15 AM - 6:30 PM | $16.00 per hour
  • Night Shift: 6:15 PM - 6:30 AM | $19.00 per hour

Job Summary

We're seeking motivated General Laborers to join the JR Simplot Idaho Plant team on a project basis. In this entry-level role, you'll support potato production operations in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. Duties include product inspection, packaging assistance, and maintaining a clean workspace. This is an excellent opportunity for flexible, hands-on work with competitive pay and shift differentials for nights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect potatoes and other products on conveyor belts for quality and defects.
  • Assist in packaging and preparing products for shipment.
  • Perform general housekeeping tasks to ensure a safe and sanitary production area.
  • Support other entry-level duties as assigned in a food production setting.
  • Follow all safety protocols and quality standards.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift up to 36 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
  • No prior experience required—training provided!
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team.
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods in a cool/ hot, industrial environment.
  • Reliable transportation to the Caldwell, ID facility.
