Gem State Staffing-Caldwell is seeking an experienced Concrete Finisher for our client, a reputable local concrete company in the Treasure Valley. This role involves assisting with the preparation, placement, finishing, and curing of concrete on commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in concrete work, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a team environment. Candidates without experience but with a solid work ethic and eagerness to learn may also be considered.

General Responsibilities

• Prepare job sites by setting forms, placing rebar/mesh, and ensuring accurate site layout.
• Mix, pour, spread, and level concrete using hand and power tools.
• Smooth and finish poured concrete surfaces to specified textures and grades.
• Operate equipment such as screeds, floats, trowels, grinders, and saws.
• Assist in setting and removing forms and performing site cleanup after project completion.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Work in various weather conditions while maintaining productivity to meet project schedules.
• Perform additional labor-related tasks to support the crew as needed.
• Candidates without experience must demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and a proactive attitude.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from job sites.
• Prior experience in concrete finishing or construction labor preferred (training available for the right candidate).
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and finishing equipment safely.
• Physical stamina and strength to lift a minimum of 75 lbs and work long hours outdoors.
• Knowledge of concrete curing techniques is a plus (training provided if needed).
• Ability to read and follow instructions, blueprints, or layout drawings (training provided if needed).
• Commitment to safety, teamwork, and high-quality craftsmanship.
• Candidates without experience must exhibit a strong work ethic and enthusiasm for learning.

Work Environment

• Full-time position with hours varying based on project schedules and weather conditions.
• Outdoor work in diverse conditions (heat, cold, rain).

Compensation & Benefits

• Starting pay: $18.00 - $27.00 per hour, depending on experience.
• 40–45-hour work weeks with a flexible schedule.
• Weekly payroll schedule, every Friday for last week's hours.
