Gem State Staffing is seeking motivated, hardworking individuals to join our client’s specialized Cured-in-Place Pipe (CIPP) crews. This is a premier opportunity to enter the "trenchless" industry—a high-demand field involving the repair of underground sewer and water pipelines without excavation. No prior experience is necessary; our client provides comprehensive on-the-job training.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Site Preparation: Assisting with the setup of bypass pumping, cleaning equipment, and safety gear.
  • Pipe Rehabilitation: Helping the crew install resin-impregnated liners into existing pipes via manholes.
  • Equipment Operation: Learning to operate specialized boilers, compressors, and robotic cutting tools.
  • Travel: Working on projects throughout the region. While jobs start locally, you must be available for out-of-town assignments.

Compensation & Perks

  • Starting Pay: $20.00 – $21.00 per hour.
  • Travel Benefits: All lodging is paid for by the company, plus a daily Per Diem for meals when working out of town.

Requirements

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.
  • Reliability: A strong work ethic and the ability to be on time for early morning crew departures.
  • Travel Readiness: Willingness to work out of town for several days at a time as projects require.
  • Safety Mindset: Ability to follow strict safety protocols, including confined space awareness (training provided).
  • Background/Drug Screen: Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

I was promoted to COO/District Manager for Idaho and our single location in Salt Lake City, and operated in that capacity for 8 years. We opened several new locations under my direction and increased our geographic footprint to cover all of Southern Idaho. Many of the employees currently employed by Gem State Staffing were hired and trained by me, a feat I am very proud of.

In early 2020 the ownership for Gem State Staffing offered me an opportunity to buy the Caldwell branch and operate the location under a franchise-like agreement. I'm happy to report that in January 2024, I completed my purchase of Gem State Staffing-Caldwell.
