Gem State Staffing Nampa is now hiring an experienced long reach Stand-up Forklift Operator to work locally for a Cold Storage & Freezer Warehouse. This is a full-time position with opportunity for advancement.

Summary: Candidates will be required to safely move heavy loads of palletized material of various shapes and weights from storage onto commercial motor vehicles. This is a team position where everyone is expected to frequently exit the forklift and assist as needed in various functions throughout the warehouse.

Responsibilities:

• Stack product on pallets in accordance with proper selecting procedures (for example, no stacking heavy-on-light, labels facing out, etc.)
• Operate a stand-up and sit-down forklift to transport product
• Stage pallets for loading on proper dock locations
• Follow sanitation and workspace requirements
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and safely operate all mechanical equipment
• Frequently lift product that weighs 1-20 pounds, up to 50 pounds; frequently reach up to 72 inches; constantly bend and twist while operating forklift, retrieving items
• Attend all required company meetings
• Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications:

• 18+ years of age
• Minimum of 1 years’ experience operating a long reach forklift or similar equipment
• Ability to meet or exceed safety and efficiency standards established by the Company
• Able to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve inventory, stacking, loading and other product related issues
• Develop good working knowledge of product information
• Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate as it relates to the job

Compensation: $18.65/hr.
