Gem State Staffing-Caldwell is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of a water manufacturing facility by performing a variety of accounting tasks. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, assisting with budget management, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

* This is a temporary position that will be available from May 2025 to September 2025.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Monitor and reconcile inventory accounts, ensuring accurate reporting of materials and finished goods.
• Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts by providing financial data and analysis.
• Conduct variance analysis and report discrepancies to management.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Review and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to ethical accounting practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Must have a clean background.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
