Gem State Staffing in Nampa is currently recruiting for several On-Call Snow Removal and de-icing positions all over the Treasure Valley. This is a great opportunity to make extra cash for the holidays!
Job description
This is a seasonal position for the winter months. Candidates will be working at a variety of different facilities hand shoveling snow from their grounds including Parking Lots, Sidewalks and Flat Roofs. Candidates must be available at all times and be ready to meet at job sites upon snow fall. Employees will be contacted off a call list once approved. This is a weather dependent position.
Starting Wage: $27.50/hr.
Requirements
Qualified applicants will need to possess the following skills and background requirements:
· Candidates must dress accordingly for cold winter weather
· Candidates must be available to work at any given hour of the day or night and stand by on call
· Must be able to work in cold outside winter weather conditions for extended shifts
· Must have reliable transportation and the ability to drive in the snow
· Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check

I’ve been working with Gem State Staffing since August of 2011. I got my start in our Twin Falls office and have worked in Nampa, Pocatello and Boise since then. In 10plus years at these locations I’ve worked as a Customer Service Representative, Assistant Manager, and Manager. I specialize in recruiting, onboarding, payroll, employee management among other things. When I’m not at work, I enjoy hanging out with friends, board games, and taking in Boise’s beautiful wild life and landscape with hikes and nature walks. I am a self-proclaimed foodie and a big music and movie connoisseur. My continuing goal is to soon obtain my own store in the Treasure Valley area so I may expand my growth, together with Gem State Staffing.
