Gem State Staffing-Caldwell is now accepting applications for a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Department Clerk/Material Handler. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity. 

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of the warehouse, ensuring that all shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience with various warehouse management systems and possess a strong understanding of shipping and receiving procedures.

Experience

• Previous experience in a shipping and receiving role is required
• Management experience
• Knowledge of logistics is beneficial
• Warehouse experience
• Basic math skills are essential for accurate order processing and inventory management
• Read blueprints

Responsibilities

• Process incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in documentation and inventory records
• Load and unload products using pallet jacks and forklifts as necessary
• Maintain organization within the warehouse to facilitate efficient operations
• Collaborate with production teams to fulfill orders effectively
• Perform basic math calculations to verify quantities and ensure proper inventory management
• Assist in conducting regular inventory counts and audits
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations while handling materials
• Ability to use power tools

• Mon-Fri 7-3:30pm work schedule, some OT expected
• Weekly payroll schedule, every Friday for last week's hours
