Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers in a warehouse setting
- Fabricate and assemble products according to specifications and quality standards
- Ensure that production goals and deadlines are met
- Train new employees on proper production techniques and safety procedures
- Monitor production processes to identify areas for improvement and implement Lean manufacturing principles
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure product accuracy
- Oversee materials handling and inventory management to ensure efficient workflow
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve production issues and optimize productivity
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Proficiency in using hand tools and precision measuring instruments
- Strong knowledge of basic math and ability to perform calculations accurately
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles is preferred but not required
