Gem State Staffing-Caldwell is now accepting candidates for a full-time, temp-to-hire Production Lead – Plastic Trimming for a local Plastic Molding company located in Caldwell, ID. This is a year-round, full-time position.

Job Description

Our client manufactures mostly plastic tanks but has various other plastic products as well. Anything from Industrial and Agricultural tanks to water heater pans. Ideal candidate will be seeking a full-time temp to hire position, working mainly in a warehouse with opportunity for growth. Our client is seeking an individual capable of maintaining the supervisory responsibilities as well as the plastic trim aspect of the job with minimal on-the-job training.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee a small team of production workers.
  • Perform plastic trimming on parts using electric and air-powered tools.
  • Ensure quality and accuracy in all trimming tasks.
  • Maintain and organize the work area.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the trimming process.
  • Delegate tasks and provide guidance to team members.
  • Oversee more than one area
  • Oversee around 5-6 other employees
  • Coordinate with Shipping Department
  • Uphold safety protocols within the department.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in Plastic Trimming preferred
  • Strong Attention to detail
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Ability to meet production deadlines
  • Assist with genera tasks as needed
  • 2-4years of experience in supervisory or management related work
  • Proficiency in management
  • Strong fabrication skills, including cutting, bending, and assembling as needed
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and implement solutions.
  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter.

 

Details

  • Schedule: Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm but will vary if needed, some OT may be required
  • Pay rate: $18.00-23.00/hr DOE, paid weekly - every Friday for last week’s hours
