Gem State Staffing is currently recruiting and accepting applications for Seal coating and Paving laborers, to work in the Magic Valley area.

Job duties are but not limited to: Raking, shoveling and placing asphalt, gravel, dirt, rock, etc are vital aspects of this position. Prepping project sites, cleaning areas, tools and equipment are consistent tasks as well. All candidates are to assist equipment operators facilitate alignment, movement and adjustment of the machines, equipment tools and materials.

**All Candidates will be laborers on all jobs in addition to other skillsets with no exceptions. There are physical demands that include repetitive arm and wrist movements lifting and moving shovels filled with approximately 20lbs of material, standing for long periods of time and extreme weather conditions such as summer heat. **

Requirements:

• Labor or construction background is a preferred.
• Have basic hand tool knowledge of the following: shovels & rakes, pickaxe, jack hammers and post hole diggers.
• Ability to work long shifts with constant bending, stooping, and twisting.
• Ability to lift 50 - 100 pounds consistently, unassisted.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Highly motivated individual with a punctual and dependable can-do-attitude.
• Able to work overtime, hours range from 5am to 7pm.
• Able to stand for long periods of time and extreme weather conditions such as summer heat.
• Arrive on time at the shop, be prepared for the entire day with food, water, clothing, durable boots and personal items depending on weather conditions is must.

Pay Rate: Applicants will be interviewed by customer for wage compensation. $17.00/hr. - $19.00/hr. DOE.

Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 5:00am to 7:00pm. Times vary with project.

Duration: Full Time/ Temp-to-hire and Seasonal positions are available
