Gem State Staffing is now hiring a full-time Industrial Paint Technician for a metal fabrication facility in Pocatello, Idaho. This position involves preparing steel surfaces, spray painting with airless equipment, sandblasting, and operating forklifts in an industrial environment. Responsibilities

• Clean, sandblast, and prepare steel beams and fabricated parts for coating.
• Apply primers and topcoats using a gas airless sprayer.
• Use brushes and rollers for touch-up work and hard-to-reach areas.
• Mix paints and coatings according to specs.
• Operate forklifts to move large metal components.
• Maintain paint and sandblast equipment.
• Follow OSHA safety guidelines and wear PPE at all times.
• Inspect finished products for quality and consistency.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of experience in industrial or automotive painting preferred.
• Experience using airless paint sprayers and sandblasting equipment.
• Forklift experience required
• Ability to read blueprints and job specs a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs and working in a production environment.

Schedule & Compensation

• Monday–Friday, full-time hours (overtime may be available)
• Temp-to-hire position with long-term opportunity
• Pay: Competitive hourly wage based on experience $17-20
