Gem State Staffing-Caldwell has an urgent need for a laborer at a foundry in Caldwell, ID. This full-time, temp-to-hire, position offers year-round stable work with a locally owned and operated company that's been in business for over 50 years!

What is a foundry? I'm glad you asked. Here's how Wikipedia defines it:

• A foundry is a factory that produces metal castings. Metals are cast into shapes by melting them into a liquid, pouring the metal into a mold, and removing the mold material after the metal has solidified as it cools. The most common metals processed are aluminum and cast iron.

What would your responsibilities be? Another great question! You're on a roll...

• Learn to pour liquid metal into sand filled molds (gear provided!)
• Inspect completed products for size and dimension tolerances (quality control)
• Use a belt grinder to remove any imperfections or metal burns (safely of course)
• Prep parts for shipping (no worries, they'll train you the right way)
• Show up to work with a great attitude! (Nobody likes working with a Negative Nelly)

Details of the job?

•         Schedule is Monday through Friday 7am to 330pm (No weekends!) Summer schedule is 6am to 230pm from July 5^th to September 2^nd
•         Pay is $17hr (entry level position)
•         Weekly payroll, every Friday for last week’s hours
•         Permanent Temp-to-Hire position
