Gem State Staffing-Caldwell is now accepting candidates for a full-time, temp-to-hire Maintenance Technician for a local Manufacturing company located in Caldwell, ID. This is a year-round, full-time position.

Job Description

Maintenance Techs will focus on repair and upgrades of existing equipment and infrastructure for the plant. Installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment and physical structure: Motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, wood working machinery, plumbing, hydraulic and electrical and automated systems.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment, including motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and woodworking machinery.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues on plant equipment.
• Assist with general maintenance tasks as required.
• Maintain and repair the physical structure of the plant, including plumbing and other building systems.
• Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment according to specifications and safety standards.
• Uphold safety protocols within the department.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Working knowledge of mechanical systems (motors, pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyor systems).
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and troubleshooting.
• Welding skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and implement solutions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Details

• Schedule: Mon-Fri 7am-4:30pm but will vary if needed, some OT may be required as well as working Saturday when needed
• Pay rate: $21.00-25.00/hr DOE, paid weekly - every Friday for last week’s hours
