Gem State Staffing-Caldwell is now accepting candidates for a full-time, temp-to-hire Experienced Tile Installer for a local Manufacturing company located in Caldwell, ID. This is a year-round, full-time position.

Job Description

Tile Installers are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various equipment and tools to build and prepare manufactured homes for distribution. This position specifically involves measurement and proper tile layout for bath surrounds, custom showers, and backsplashes. You will work at the same location every day and enjoy the benefits of working in a controlled environment.

Responsibilities:

• Employ good judgment, with safety as a priority; must adhere to all safety guidelines to ensure work is completed within safety and compliance standards.
• Operate various tools and equipment safely and efficiently, such as forklift, table saw, staple gun, air tools, drills, nail gun, skill saw, welder, chop saw, and drill press, to ensure all production deadlines are met.
• Perform general physical activities throughout the plant, requiring significant walking and climbing while carrying items weighing 5-150 pounds.
• Daily tasks will require considerable use of arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
• Examine and observe equipment, adjusting and cleaning it to ensure peak operation, and notifying leadership of any needed repairs.
• Maintain the workstation and plant, ensuring they are clean and free of hazardous materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to use power tools within all factory safety procedures and guidelines.
• Proficiency in accurate measurement and proper tile layout techniques for various applications, including bath surrounds, custom showers, and backsplashes.
• Experience with tools and equipment commonly used in tile installation and manufactured home building (e.g., table saw, air tools, drills, etc.).
• Ability to handle and transport fragile products and potentially hazardous chemicals safely.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• 1-3 years of experience in tile installation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Schedule: Mon-Fri 7am-4:30pm but will vary if needed, some OT may be required as well as working Saturday when needed
• Pay rate: $23.00-30.00/hr DOE, paid weekly - every Friday for last week’s hours
