Gem State Staffing-Caldwell is seeking qualified candidates for Line Operator positions located in Caldwell, ID. These temp-to-hire opportunities will provide candidates multiple work location options over the coming months.
Job Description
Line Operators are tasked with managing equipment and raw materials. Raw materials are mixed with base ingredients to create our client’s product. Operators can expect to lift up-to 55 lbs of bags or boxes of raw materials during each shift. Operators can expect to use forklifts, various machines, RF scan gun for inventory control, use stairs frequently, and provide normal housekeeping responsibilities around their work area. This is a night shift opportunity however; 2-3 weeks of training will be conducted on day shift.
Requirements
Ability and desire to work full-time schedule
1yr experience (recent) in a physically challenging role
Ability to lift up-to 55lbs waist high
Ability to climb up and down stairs
Forklift operator experience preferred (will be certified by our client)
Read, Write, and Speak English
Excellent attendance record in previous employment
Pre-employment drug screen, physical fitness exam, and criminal background check

Work Schedule:
Fri and Sat 10:00pm – 10:30am (12hr shifts)
Sun and Mon 10:00pm – 6:30am (8hr shifts)
Temp-to-Hire opportunity
Weekly Payroll Cycle, every Friday for last week’s hours
Starting pay rate: $22.00/hr + $80.00 bonus for each shift completed on night shift (temporary benefit)

I began my journey with Gem State Staffing in the Boise location way back in 2005. We only had 3 branches at that time! Over the years, I've managed Boise, Twin Falls-Burley, and back to Boise again. I was promoted to COO/District Manager for Idaho and our single location in Salt Lake City, and operated in that capacity for 8 years. We opened several new locations under my direction and increased our geographic footprint to cover all of Southern Idaho. Many of the employees currently employed by Gem State Staffing were hired and trained by me, a feat I am very proud of.
In early 2020 the ownership for Gem State Staffing offered me an opportunity to buy the Caldwell branch and operate the location under a franchise-like agreement. I'm happy to report that in January 2024, I completed my purchase of Gem State Staffing-Caldwell.
