Spray Technician – Landscaping (Licensed or Willing to Become Licensed)

Gem State Staffing is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Spray Technician to join our landscaping team in Idaho Falls. If you're a licensed pesticide applicator or have industry experience and are ready to get licensed, we encourage you to apply!

Responsibilities:

• Safely apply pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and fertilizers to lawns, trees, and shrubs
• Properly mix and measure chemical applications according to labels and safety protocols
• Identify weeds, pests, and diseases in residential and commercial landscapes
• Maintain accurate application records (chemicals used, dates, rates, and locations)
• Operate and maintain spray equipment, ensuring proper calibration
• Perform safety checks and adhere to all local, state, and federal pesticide regulations
• Communicate with customers and team members regarding services and follow-up treatments
• Assist with general landscaping tasks as needed, especially during the off-season (snow removal, etc.)

Qualifications:

Licensed Applicants:

• Must hold a valid Commercial Applicator License (Turf and Ornamental categories preferred)

Non-Licensed Applicants:

• Must have relevant landscaping experience and be willing to obtain a Commercial Applicator License (support provided)

All Applicants Must Have:

• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
• Knowledge of chemical application procedures, safety guidelines, and landscape maintenance
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently

Preferred Experience:

• Previous work as a Spray Technician, Lawn Care Specialist, or Landscaper
• Experience with snow removal equipment (plows, blowers, etc.)
