Gem State Staffing-Caldwell is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a local manufacturing company. The successful candidate will perform mold & tooling changes, make set-up adjustments on molding machines to ensure equipment is operating properly to achieve product quality..

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

• Set up, start up, and troubleshoot jobs in molding department
• Conduct necessary inspections and measurement to ensure the quality of the parts being produced.
• Perform mold changes and material changes when needed and directed by the supervisor.
• Perform basic maintenance function as needed.
• Establish mold specific processes for each mold within their allotted cycle time.
• Work on process and cycle time improvements.
• Maintain departmental equipment.
• Verify machines processes daily.
• Operate a forklift safely and correctly.
• Diagnose and repair minor maintenance problems on molding machine, auxiliary equipment and machine equipment.
• Diagnose major maintenance problems, complete/process work order on problems and interface with maintenance department concerning problem.

Maintenance Technician Requirements:

• Experience in plastic injection molding processing preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Must have excellent attendance.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
• Capable of physical mobility including walking, sitting, bending, twisting, standing, pushing, pulling and lifting (up to 50 pounds periodically).
• Able to work safely in a production environment around moving mechanical parts.
• Able to work overtime as needed.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check.

Maintenance Technician Details:

• Monday-Friday (Day shift 5:30am-4:00pm)
• Temp-to-Hire opportunity
• Benefits plan available after probationary period
• Starting pay rate: $20.00/hr - $25.00/hr DOE
• Weekly payroll cycle, every Friday for last weeks hours
