Job Description

Gem State Staffing-Caldwell is seeking dedicated Honey Extraction-Production for a seasonal project. This role involves operating honey processing equipment to extract honey during a 5–6-week project starting August 11, 2025.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain honey extraction equipment, including extractors, uncappers, and pumps
  • Process and package honey in a fast-paced production environment
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and workspace
  • Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards
  • Assist with inventory tracking and reporting

Job Requirements

Requirements

  • No bee allergies – candidates must not be allergic to bees due to potential exposure
  • Comfortable working in hot, wet environments
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Basic machine operation experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Reliable and able to work as part of a team

Schedule

  • Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday
  • Some Saturdays may be required
  • Duration: 5-6 weeks, starting August 11, 2025

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced, hands-on role in a hot, wet production facility
  • Protective gear provided, including suits and gloves
  • Exposure to bees and bee-related products

Details

  • Starting pay rate: $15.00 - $16.00/hr DOE
  • Weekly payroll schedule, every Friday

I was promoted to COO/District Manager for Idaho and our single location in Salt Lake City, and operated in that capacity for 8 years. We opened several new locations under my direction and increased our geographic footprint to cover all of Southern Idaho. Many of the employees currently employed by Gem State Staffing were hired and trained by me, a feat I am very proud of.

In early 2020 the ownership for Gem State Staffing offered me an opportunity to buy the Caldwell branch and operate the location under a franchise-like agreement. I'm happy to report that in January 2024, I completed my purchase of Gem State Staffing-Caldwell.
