Job Description

Gem State Staffing in Twin Falls is seeking Potato Hogman Operator/Filler which consist of loading potato trucks and other general labor duties. There are two positions for a full -time night shift that is 6 days a week and a Part-time Hogman that is 3 days a week.

 

Job Duties: The Potato Loader Operator/Filler will be trained to change their own nose belts, repair or replace drive chains, replace wheel drive pin and replace a flange roller. The operator will also be trained on how to properly clean and grease the nose every ten loads, oil and adjust chains, and keeping belts running straight and not rubbing. lt is the loaders responsibility to maintain a clean safe working area by neatly stacking pipe and keeping potatoes contained and out of the plenum, Make sure doors are safe to open and can be secured. Keeping a clean work area extends to outside the cellar and around the doors.

Requirements:

  • Self-motivated, self-directed personality – ability to work hard under limited supervision
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Ability to work long hours over multiple, consecutive days
  • Ability to repetitively bend, twist, crouch, and stoop for extended periods
  • Physical capability of lifting 75+ lbs
  • Basic comprehension of English, written and verbal
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and personal transportation
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug and background screenings
  • Desire and ability to maintain full-time work schedule
  • Ability to adhere to company standards regarding performance, attendance, personal grooming standards, sanitation, food safety and quality
  • Demonstrated experience doing physical labor
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen

Job type/duration: Part time Hogman is 3 night shifts a week and Full time Hogman that is 6 nights a week. Temp-to-Hire position with excellent benefits after probationary period

Work schedule: Mon-Sat 4pm- until done (hours vary) but position requires flexibility to work as needed.

Pay: Weekly payroll, every Friday for last weeks hours
