Gem State Staffing in Burley ID. is seeking a full-time, seasonal (possible temporary-to-permanent) heavy equipment operator/laborer for a local agriculture company in Burley. Heavy equipment operation experience is required in backhoe, skid steer and dump truck. Must have some mechanical knowledge as well as know how to operate and service/maintain farm equipment.

Job Description: The Heavy Equipment Operator will work onsite and service all farm equipment & organize product with a variety of heavy equipment. Additionally, the position will require some lifting and moving by hand; candidates must be comfortable lifting 50+lbs, as necessary. Must be available to work long hours specifically during harvest seasons. As this is agriculture based Overtime is exempt

Requirements:

• Self-motivated, self-directed personality
• Basic experience operating heavy equipment (e.g. loader, tractor, forklift)
• Basic mechanic/maintenance experience
• Basic comprehension of English, written and verbal
• Ability to work long hours over multiple, consecutive days
• Ability to repetitively stand, bend, twist, crouch, and stoop for extended periods
• Ability to repetitively lift 50+ lbs
• Possess a valid driver’s license and personal transportation
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug and background screenings

Job type/duration: Full-time, seasonal through the fall; possible temporary-to-permanent

Pay rate: $18.00 $22/hour, DOE

Schedule: Monday through Saturday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (possibly later during busy season)
