Gem State Staffing-Caldwell is seeking qualified candidates for an entry level HR Assistant position located in Caldwell, ID. This temporary position should last through April 2025 and potentially longer.
Job Description
This position will assist a busy HR department in all things HR related. The department has an immediate project to address that will convert paper employee personnel files to digital. Lots of scanning! Additional projects are also expected in the coming weeks. This position will help coordinate employee training sessions, order supplies, complete reports, respond to inquiries and assist other departments like production and safety as needed.
Requirements
· Strong office skills and experience with MS Office, PDF documents, and common office technology
· Bonus points if you have experience utilizing an ATS or HR platform (not required)
· Strong self-starter mentality required
· Ability to work required schedule with occasional OT as needed
· Driver’s License
· Pre-employment drug screen and criminal background investigation
Details
· Work schedule will typically be Mon-Fri 8am-5pm with some OT expected for 2nd Shift HR coverage.
· Technically a temporary position expected to last until April 2025 with potential to last longer
· Weekly payroll schedule, every Friday for last week’s hours.
· Starting pay rate: $19.00/hr with room for increase for qualified candidate

I began my journey with Gem State Staffing in the Boise location way back in 2005. We only had 3 branches at that time! Over the years, I've managed Boise, Twin Falls-Burley, and back to Boise again. I was promoted to COO/District Manager for Idaho and our single location in Salt Lake City, and operated in that capacity for 8 years. We opened several new locations under my direction and increased our geographic footprint to cover all of Southern Idaho. Many of the employees currently employed by Gem State Staffing were hired and trained by me, a feat I am very proud of.
In early 2020 the ownership for Gem State Staffing offered me an opportunity to buy the Caldwell branch and operate the location under a franchise-like agreement. I'm happy to report that in January 2024, I completed my purchase of Gem State Staffing-Caldwell.
