Gem State Staffing-Caldwell is now accepting candidates for a full-time, temp-to-hire Sand Mold Laborer for a local Foundry located in Caldwell, ID. This is a year-round, full-time position.

Job Description

Our client manufactures metal replacement parts for agricultural equipment. The most common metals used for these parts are cast iron and aluminum. This position will focus on the sand pack step of the metal mold process. Ideal candidate will be seeking a full-time temp to hire position, working mainly in a warehouse with opportunity for growth. Our client is seeking an individual capable of maintaining the Mold Department with some on-the-job training.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and ensure the smooth operation of the sand mold conveyor belt system.
• Identify and address any issues with sand mold flow or quality.
• Maintain clear communication with upstream and downstream departments regarding mold production and delivery.
• Conduct routine inspections of the conveyor system to identify potential problems and ensure safety.
• Requires frequent or sustained physical effort to move objects weighing up to 70lbs
• Maintain accurate records of sand mold production and movement.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in the sand mold production process.
• Uphold safety protocols within the department.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong focus on detail and quality control.
• Prior experience in a supervisory role with a proven ability to manage a department (preferred)
• Experience in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and implement solutions.
• Open-mindedness and willingness to learn new processes.
• Ability to work independently as a self-starter.
• Prior experience in a foundry environment, particularly with sand mold production (preferred).

Details

• Schedule: Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm but will vary if needed
• Starting pay rate: $20.00+/hr DOE, paid weekly - every Friday for last week’s hours
