Gem State Staffing-Caldwell is seeking candidates for a temporary position located in Caldwell, Idaho. Our client, a local fertilizer distributor, needs to add three people to the crew to complete end of year soil sampling and plant operations.

Job Description

These positions require the ability to work independently and with emphasis on accuracy. Employees will start each day at the shop and will receive the activity schedule from supervisors. Much of the assignment will involve traveling, in a company vehicle, to grower fields to collect soil samples. Employees must have experience operating ATV or Side-By-Side for consideration. When utility vehicles are not available, employees will walk to collection points at each site.

Good writing and communication skills and basic computer skills required as there will be some data collection at each site. When not conducting soil sampling responsibilities, employees will work at the plant in support of dry fertilizer mix and batch making processes. Clean up, inventory, etc.

Requirements

• Valid Drivers License with less than 3 moving violations in last 3 years.
• Experience pulling trailer with a pickup.
• Experience operating ATV/Side-by-Side
• Basic Computer skills
• Good physical condition, ability to walk in uneven farm field conditions
• Ability to lift 50lbs occasionally, 75lbs infrequently
• Ability to work Mon-Sat work schedule

Details

Starting Pay Rate: $19.00/hr

Start Date: Season is underway now

Projected End Date: Dec 1st (possibly year-round position for ideal candidate)

Schedule: Mon-Sat, 7am start time, average 10hrs per work day

Weekly payroll: Every Friday for last weeks hours
