Gem State Staffing is accepting applications for a full-time Department Supervisor or Team Lead for a local manufacturing company in Jerome.

Job Duties: 

• The work consist of  supervising a fiberglass production line and we are willing to train.
• The individual must be willing  to  give and take constructive criticism.
• Tasks consist of being able to meet our daily schedule, inventory, quality control and being able to keep our products quality our number one  priority.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers in a manufacturing environment.
• Ensure that all production processes are carried out efficiently and in compliance with company standards and regulations.
• Monitor production schedules and adjust workflow as needed to meet production targets.
• Train and mentor production staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
• Oversee the sanitation of production areas to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Collaborate with other departments, to resolve any issues that may arise during production.
• Implement and enforce CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines to ensure product quality and safety.
• Operate forklift or other equipment as needed to support production activities.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role in the food industry, preferably in a food processing or packaging facility.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing safety regulations.
• Familiarity with fabricating equipment used in food processing operations.
• Proficient in basic math skills for measuring ingredients, calculating yields, etc.
• Must be Bilingual, English and Spanish speaking.
• Ability to lift up-to 75lbs unassisted infrequently.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background investigation. 
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and potentially holidays

Pay rate: Pay will DOE $22.00-28.00/hour + benefits and stable year round employment

Job Type/Duration: Full-time, temp to hire

Shift: Days; Monday - Friday, occasional Saturdays from 6:00am to 3:00pm
