Gem State Staffing is seeking Janitorial/Custodian for a full-time position in Buhl, Idaho.

Job duties: Perform daily cleaning and assists in maintenance and care of buildings and grounds. 

Job Duties: 

1. Performs such school-related duties as assigned by the supervisor. 
2. Move, operate, and clean various manually powered brooms, mops, vacuums, dusting tools, and snow shovels as well as mechanically powered waxing and buffing equipment.  
3. Climb and work from ladders as necessary. 
4. Use supplies and chemicals properly and safely according to instructions on the labels on the manufacturer’s containers. 
5. Removes snow, and/or any debris from sidewalks, and steps as directed by supervisor.  
6. Reports potential safety and health problems to supervisor. 
7. Completes records and reports as required. 
8. Reports the need for building and/or equipment repairs to the supervisor. 
9. Keeps building and premises, including hallways, sidewalks driveways, restrooms, and play areas neat and clean at all times. 
10. Acts ethically and confidentially in all aspects of employment. 
11. Deals with students, parents, staff, and others in a positive, supportive manner. 
12. Performs other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor. 

Requirements:

• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background investigation.
• Must be able to bend, twist, crouch and stoop frequently over the course of a shift.
• Must be dependable and have a good attitude.
• Must be very motivated with ability to stay focused without direct supervision.

Salary Range: $14.56/Hour + Benefits
