Job Description

Gem State Staffing is hiring a Customer Service/Store Lead position for a local cheese store for a temporary position in Twin Falls. Looking for ambitious, hard-working and reliable individual with customer services and sales experience to provide appropriate on-site service and support of customers. This position is responsible supporting the Cheese Store Lead throughout the store through sales activity, sales results, communicating clearly with retail customers, keeping the appearance of the store professional and clean, stocking shelves, maintaining inventory, and other such duties that may arise.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent our core values and culture throughout the store.
  • Learn and communicate clearly the flavors and uses of the different varieties of cheese for sale.
  • Help manage cheese store inventory weekly/monthly with the store lead.
  • Stock coolers and keep the product faced and presentable.
  • Ensure fast, friendly, and accurate service to customers.
  • Effectively handle customer issues.
  • Measure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Store cleanliness including laundry washed, sweeping, mopping and scrubbing kitchen and bathrooms. Removal of all garbage & cardboard.
  • Ensure proper cash handling, deposit procedures are followed, and daily sales are balanced accurately.
  • Must be able to work some weekends.
  • Must be dependable and trustworthy.

 

 

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in sales or customer service.
  • Must be 19+ years of age to be able to sell wind and beer.
  • Must have High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background investigation.
  • Proven delivery of excellent customer service.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient computer and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to perform basic administrative functions such as filing, faxing, emailing, payment processing etc.
  • Manage time appropriately and be detail oriented.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Must maintain a clean and professional appearance. 
  • Ability to read and write English. 
  • Ability to run a cash register and the Square register.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with customers and co-workers.
  • Ability to manage our fast-paced, high-volume, clean, customer-focused.
  • Ability to use a PC including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, etc.
  • Ability to solve practical issues and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Self-started and able to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at one time. 
  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Pay Wage: $15.00 hourly wage 

Job Types: Temporary, 10-20 hours a week, this part-time position could go through the winter Holidays. Required to work the day before Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve half day.
