Gem State Staffing is now hiring full-time Class A CDL Drivers for local hauling assignments based in Buhl, Idaho. If you’re a dependable, experienced driver who enjoys working outdoors and can handle long shifts, this is a great opportunity for a temp-to-hire or seasonal position with competitive pay and weekly hours.

Responsibilities:

• Operate commercial trucks and trailers over 16,000 lbs
• Haul materials to and from construction or asphalt production sites
• Follow asphalt production cycles and loading/unloading procedures
• Perform construction-related labor when not driving (e.g., shoveling, site prep)
• Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
• Prepare for long shifts and extreme weather by bringing appropriate gear, food, and water
• Participate in random drug testing during employment

Requirements:

• Must have CDL license and medical card (No endorsements needed).
• Must be at least 21 years old for insurance purposes.
• Able to drive a manual transmission.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Ability to work long shifts with constant bending, stooping, and twisting.
• Highly motivated individual with a punctual and dependable can-do-attitude.
• Able to work overtime, hours range from 5am to 7pm.
• Able to work in extreme weather conditions such as summer heat.
• Arrive on time at the shop, be prepared for the entire day with food, water, clothing, durable boots and personal items depending on weather conditions is must.
• All Candidates must adhere to random drug testing policy during employment.
• Previous experience in road construction or labor-intensive roles is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with basic construction tools and paving equipment is a plus.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong teamwork skills with a commitment to safety on the job site.
• Being flexible to handle various tasks and challenges that arise during construction projects

Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 5:00am to 7:00pm. Times vary with project.

Pay Wage: Pay depends on experience, applicants will be interviewed by customer for wage compensation. $20.00-22.00/hr. Overtime is available.

Duration: Full Time thru October, with overtime. Temp-to-hire and Seasonal positions are available
