Gem State Staffing in Idaho Falls is currently recruiting and accepting applications for a seasonal CDL Class A driver to deliver fertilizer.

Qualifications:

• Comply with company safety policies and regulations.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Must be able to pass DOT drug test.
• Current Medical Card & Class A CDL license.
• Have a clean DMV record (we are able to pull record upon request).
• Must be capable of strapping loads.
• Must be able to help lift, stack and wrap the product .
• Must have good sense of direction.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds unassisted.
• Possess or have ability to obtain a valid DOT Med Card.
• Competency to comply with all DOT regulations and requirements
• Flexibility to work overtime and potentially holidays.
• Work flexible hours and shifts, being reliable and punctual.
• Must be able to meet Company's insurance carriers' requirements to be insurable.
• CDL experience required
• Hazmat preferred but not necessary

Pay Rate: Starts at $20 DOE.

Responsibilities

• Operate a CDL A truck safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
• Transport goods using various types of trailers, including refrigerated, flatbed, and tanker, while securing loads properly.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and functionality.
• Load and unload freight, utilizing forklifts and other equipment as necessary.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and communicate with dispatch regarding routes and schedules.
• Adhere to Hazmat regulations when transporting hazardous materials.
