Job Summary

Gem State Staffing is hiring a Belt Technician in Idaho Falls! In this role, you will build, install, repair, and maintain custom conveyor belts in warehouse and field settings. This hands-on position requires mechanical skills, experience with hand and power tools, and the ability to perform light construction and warehouse labor. Forklift experience is a bonus!

Responsibilities

• Build, install, and repair custom conveyor belts accurately and safely
• Set up work areas: remove conveyor components, clamp belts, and adjust counterweights
• Load/unload materials and equipment for field or customer-site work
• Communicate professionally with management, team members, and customers
• Lead and collaborate effectively as a team player
• Use measuring tape, hand tools, and power tools proficiently
• Perform general warehouse and light construction labor
• Follow safety protocols and maintain clean workspaces

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Willingness to learn and grow technical skills
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs consistently
• Comfortable working in tight or elevated spaces for extended periods
• Able to work long hours when needed
• Valid driver’s license required
• Forklift experience is a plus but not required
