Gem State Staffing is now accepting applications for Production Operator positions at a manufacturing facility in Jerome, Idaho. These are long-term, temp-to-hire jobs with immediate start dates. Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate extrusion lines for manufacturing.

• Handle and move heavy beams (up to 250 lbs) using appropriate safety procedures.

• Operate twisting machines and thread materials through eyelets, wheels, and machine components.

• Mount, doff, weigh, label, and palletize spools weighing 15–50 lbs.

• Load shrink wrap rolls onto twisting machines (up to 50 lbs).

• Clean production areas, including under and between machines.

• Move scrap materials using balers and forklifts (if certified).

• Perform equipment checks and notify supervisors of any malfunctions or safety concerns.

• Follow all production, safety, and quality control procedures.

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements:

• Ability to stand for 12-hour shifts in a production setting.

• Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs unassisted.

• Comfortable working in conditions that include heat, noise, dust, oil, and moving equipment.

• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, push, and pull regularly.

• Must follow all safety regulations and PPE protocols.

• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

• Forklift experience is a plus but not required.
