Gem State Staffing is seeking to hire a individual for a Grain Elevator Operator. The Elevator Specialist assists the Elevator Supervisor with the receiving, shipping, cleaning, storage, and quality control of malt and seed barley. Various responsibilities of the Specialist may require work to be done safely in adverse conditions and environment, such as confined space, elevated work stations, and temperature extremes. Assist with handling, and distribution of seed.
High school degree required. At least 1 year experience in grain elevator operations preferred but not required.
Some computer skills and Inventory software preferred but not required
Other requirements:
Mechanically inclined with ability to identify and solve problems quickly.
Must not be afraid of heights
Some heavy lifting is occasionally required.
Work hours are usually days but may vary, especially during barley harvest. Long hours, including weekends.
Must have good organizational skills.
Must be able to work in a safe manner unsupervised.
Clean background. Self Starter. High School Diploma or GED.
Able to work M-F, 7 am to 4 pm. Some Saturdays half day. Attention to detail. Able to lift 50 lbs.
Job Types: Is seasonal but has opportunity for full time.
